The timber used for our wooden fences is sustainably sourced and carries the FSC or PEFC approval logo, meaning the wood comes from forests that are responsibly managed and meet environmental, social and economic standards. The difference shows over time: properly seasoned, treated timber from a managed source stands up far better than cheaper alternatives.
How we install
Our team uses a variety of high quality, well maintained tools and we pay attention to detail to give a clean finish on every run. Safety checks for underground services are completed before any digging work begins, which matters more than people sometimes realise on properties with older buried cables, gas runs or drainage. Post holes are dug to proper depth and concreted where the soil conditions or fence height demand it. On boundaries that take wind exposure we step up the post specification rather than fitting standard kit and hoping for the best.
The site is left clean and the old fence materials are taken away. We are a fully licensed and registered carrier of waste with the Environment Agency, so the disposal side is handled properly. Planning permission
Fencing over 2 metres (about 7 feet) high may require planning permission from your local council. Fences adjacent to a road or footpath have a lower threshold, often 1 metre. We can advise on the position for any specific property, and we are happy to handle the planning application paperwork on the owner’s behalf where consent is needed.
